Sculpted in 2020

Juliette Gordon Low, also known as Daisy, was the founder of the Girl Scouts of the USA. She was born in 1860 and lived until 1927. Low was a woman of passion and creativity, who had a vision of a world where girls could develop physically, mentally, and spiritually through a program of outdoor activities, crafts, and community service.

In 1912, Low founded the first Girl Scout troop in Savannah, Georgia, and the organization quickly grew. Today, the Girl Scouts is one of the largest organizations for girls in the world, with millions of members in the United States and beyond. The Girl Scouts provides girls with opportunities for leadership, adventure, and personal growth and has helped to shape the lives of countless young women.

Low’s work has had a lasting impact on the lives of girls and women, and she is remembered as a pioneering leader who helped to create a world in which girls could dream big and achieve their full potential.
