Statues.Com has launched our special collection of statues entitled, “Where are the Women?” as we pay tribute to and honor countless women who have shaped world history as trailblazers for positive change in society.
With only about 7 percent of all statues in the U.S. depicting women – and approximately 3 percent of statues in developed nations portraying women – we at Statues.Com quickly realized that we needed to move forward with this inspired campaign to enshrine the legacies of these women pioneers.
Our “Where are the Women?” series is comprised of 7-inch busts of women who have been trailblazers for women’s equality and leaders for social change. Among the women we are honoring are Harriet Tubman, Susan B. Anthony, Ida B. Wells-Barnett, Michelle Obama, Alice Paul, Juliette Gordon Low, and many more. Our most recent addition is the hand-crafted personalized bust of the 49th Vice President of the United States, Kamala Harris, the highest-ranking female official in U.S. history.
We will continue to add many more women to this special art collection.
Included in this esteemed collection are women leaders, advocates and activists who were instrumental in the prolonged struggle for American women’s suffrage.
We have captured women in sculpture who have left an indelible mark on history and made this country a better place for disenfranchised Americans.
