Honoring Women’s Equality Day

Celebrating Fierce Women, Past and Present

At Statues.com, we celebrate every day as an opportunity to honor the women who have shaped history, broken barriers, and paved the way for a more just and equal society. This Women’s Equality Day, we reflect on the progress since the ratification of the 19th Amendment. At the same time, we acknowledge that the fight for equality and justice continues. Therefore, we proudly highlight the women leading that charge today.

Through our SculptHER Collection, we honor trailblazers across centuries by capturing their legacies in timeless sculpture. In fact, from suffragists and reformers to scientists, leaders, and advocates, each piece recognizes their achievements and carries their inspiration forward for future generations.

Partnering with the Long Beach Women’s Fair and the Fierce Women Awards

We proudly support the Long Beach Women’s Fair and their Annual Fierce Women Awards. This inspiring event celebrates girls, women, and femmes who uplift, empower, and fight for justice in the Long Beach community.

Fierce Women lead with courage, compassion, and resistance. For example, the inaugural 2024 awards honored Susan B. Anthony, a champion of women uniting for the right to vote. The Feminist Uprising and Long Beach Suffrage 100 hosted the celebration, recognizing Vice Mayor Cindy Allen, Jennifer Kumiyama, Ellie Perez, Monique De La Garza, and Erica Valencia-Adachi. As a result of their dedication, these women continue to advance and protect the rights of women and girls in meaningful ways.

On August 26, 2024, the community gathered at the historic Art Theatre Long Beach to celebrate leadership, resilience, and advocacy. Consequently, the event strengthened bonds among advocates and inspired new generations to lead.

From Susan B. Anthony to Ida B. Wells — Trailblazers in Sculpture

The Second Annual Fierce Women Awards will take place on August 26, 2025, at Recreation Park @ The Social Hall in Long Beach. This year’s dedication honors Ida B. Wells, a fearless journalist, educator, and activist who used the power of her words to confront racial and gender inequality.

Statues.com will provide hand-crafted 7-inch busts of Susan B. Anthony and Ida B. Wells as sculptural awards. Consequently, these works of art, part of our SculptHER Collection, serve as both symbols of achievement and lasting reminders of the courage and vision of the women they represent.

The SculptHER Collection: Celebrating Women Year-Round

Our SculptHER Collection pays tribute to extraordinary women throughout history, including:

  • Alice Paul – Suffragist and strategist who helped secure women’s voting rights in the United States.
  • Ruth Bader Ginsburg – Supreme Court Justice and tireless advocate for gender equality.
  • Eleanor Roosevelt – First Lady, humanitarian, and champion of human rights.
  • Clara Barton – Founder of the American Red Cross, dedicated to humanitarian relief.
  • Hypatia of Alexandria – Ancient Greek philosopher, mathematician, and astronomer who broke barriers to advocate for intellectual freedom.

Our artisans craft each sculpture to capture not only the likeness but also the spirit of these trailblazing women. As a result, we preserve their legacies in enduring form for generations to come.

A Shared Mission

By partnering with events like the Fierce Women Awards, we advance our mission to honor the women who have fought — and continue to fight — for equality, justice, and human dignity. In addition, we aim to inspire future leaders by keeping these stories alive through art. Moreover, we believe that each sculpture serves as a bridge between history and the present, reminding us that the work for equality remains ongoing.

This Women’s Equality Day, we remember the women who came before us. Likewise, we celebrate the women making history now. Most importantly, we commit to supporting those who will lead us into the future.

At Statues.com, we don’t just make sculptures — we shape history.
