How much does it cost to commission a custom statue?

Because every commission is a unique work of art, pricing varies significantly based on the specific requirements of your project. The final cost is determined by the scale (volume of material), the complexity of the sculpting detail (e.g., intricate clothing vs. smooth surfaces), and the casting material selected. We encourage you to contact us for a consultation. We will provide a transparent, line-item quote based on your specific vision and budget goals.

How do payments work for a commission?

We structure our payment schedule to align with the creative milestones of the project, ensuring you are comfortable at every step. Typically, this involves an initial deposit to begin the design and maquette phase, a second payment upon your final approval of the full-scale clay sculpture (before casting begins), and a final balance due prior to crating and shipping. This milestone approach keeps you in control of the process.

Can I make changes to the design once we start?

Yes, and we encourage it! The Maquette Phase and the Full-Scale Clay Sculpt Phase are designed specifically for your feedback. During these stages, the clay is malleable, allowing us to adjust likeness, posture, and details until you are 100% satisfied. However, once you give final approval to cast the piece in bronze, changes become significantly more difficult and costly, as they would require cutting and re-welding metal.

Do you handle the installation of the statue?

We focus on the manufacturing and safe delivery of the sculpture. For the installation itself, we partner with your General Contractor, Landscape Architect, or local installation team. We provide them with everything they need for a smooth install, including detailed technical drawings, weight load specifications, and templates for the anchor bolts or mounting hardware.

What if I just want to copy an existing statue I own?

If you already have a physical model or an antique and do not need a new design sculpted from scratch, you likely don't need our full custom sculpting service. Instead, our Replication Service is the faster, more cost-effective path. We can create a mold directly from your original item to produce exact copies in bronze, marble, or resin.

You’ve shared your concept — now we begin the hands-on, handcrafted process of bringing it to life.

Watch It Take Shape

Our artists begin sculpting your piece, typically in clay. You’ll be invited to review and give feedback at several key stages via photos or live video calls — often 3 to 6 sessions — until you’re fully satisfied.

We encourage revisions and collaboration. Your input ensures the final piece is true to your vision.

✈️ For projects over $30,000, we’ll cover up to $1,000 in travel so you can approve the final clay sculpt in person at our Salt Lake City studio.*

Time to Cast or Print

Once you approve the sculpt, we move into production — either through traditional mold-making and casting for bronze or bonded marble, or 3D printing for final-display digital sculpture.

This path is based on your choices or our suggestions, at the start of the project.

Refined by Hand

Whether cast or printed, your statue is then hand-assembled, refined, and finished by our artisans. Every seam, surface, and texture is addressed with expert craftsmanship and care.

Finishing Touches

We add final details unique to your commission — such as an engraved nameplate, emblem, plaque, base, or hardware. These are the final elements that personalize and complete your piece.

Ready for Delivery

Your statue is carefully packed and prepared for on-time shipping. We’ll coordinate delivery with you and ensure everything arrives safely, wherever in the world it’s headed.
