Why Susan B. Anthony?
Susan B. Anthony was the strategic heart of the suffrage movement, traveling the country for decades to demand that “the right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied.” Her arrest for voting in 1872 became a rallying cry for justice, and her lifelong partnership with Elizabeth Cady Stanton changed the course of American history.
