This presentation sculpture interprets Utah’s Delicate Arch as an official State of Utah gift and a compact expression of state pride.
Located in Arches National Park, Delicate Arch is one of Utah’s most widely recognized natural landmarks. Its distinctive freestanding silhouette makes it especially effective as a sculptural emblem because the form remains identifiable without relying on text or additional explanation.
Transforming a landscape into a presentation object requires careful simplification. The profile, opening and visual balance of the arch must remain clear at a reduced scale while the finished piece retains the presence expected of an official gift.
The sculpture turns a familiar Utah landscape into a tangible gesture of recognition, connecting place, identity and official presentation in one object.
