Sculpted in 2020

Susan B. Anthony was an American suffragist and social reformer who lived from 1820 to 1906. She was a leader in the women’s suffrage movement and worked to secure women’s right to vote in the United States.

Throughout her life, Anthony dedicated herself to advocating for women’s rights and equality and was one of the most prominent figures in the fight for women’s suffrage. She traveled extensively, giving speeches and organizing events to raise awareness about the cause, and helped to found several organizations dedicated to the advancement of women’s rights, including the National Woman Suffrage Association.

In addition to her work on suffrage, Anthony was also an advocate for other social reforms, including the abolition of slavery, temperance, and women’s property rights. She was a powerful and charismatic speaker, and her tireless efforts on behalf of women’s rights helped to lay the groundwork for the eventual passage of the 19th Amendment to the US Constitution, which granted women the right to vote.

Today, Susan B. Anthony is widely regarded as a pioneer of the women’s rights movement, and her legacy continues to inspire and motivate people around the world to fight for equality and justice.
