Why Lucretia Mott?
Lucretia Mott was a brilliant orator and a founding force behind the organized women’s rights movement. As a co-organizer of the 1848 Seneca Falls Convention, she dedicated her life to the “total emancipation” of all people, regardless of race or gender. Owning this piece is a tribute to a “Architect of Justice”, a woman who believed that truth was the greatest authority and that every individual possessed the light of equality.
